Pricing

Testing has a base price of £15 for the first 3 diamonds, with £5 additional for every diamond over the 3rd diamond.

Note: We can only test diamond of 3mm diameter or larger (0.3 carat or over).

Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. How long does it take to test? The test is very fast and is done in as little as 15 seconds per diamond to be tested.
  2. How accurate is the test? The test is proven to be 98% accurate with very high reliability.
  3. Do you accept Cash or Card? We accept both forms of payment, however, we do not keep much change so it helps if you bring the exact amount with you.
  4. Can you test diamonds that are colored? No. This test only works on standard diamonds that are near colorless or standard grading. This means we can not test blue, black, brown or other colored diamonds, only the standard clear diamonds.
  5. Will I be able to observe the testing being conducted? Yes, tests are done in your presence and with your items in full view at all times.
  6. Is an appointment required? No, we accept walk-ins, however please note our normal opening hours.
  7. Why should I pay £15 to have my jewellery tested? If you plan to sell your jewellery it is worth noting if your diamond is natural, lab-grown, moissanite, or a simulant (zircon) as the values greatly vary between each type.
  8. Can you grade the diamonds based on the 4 Cs (Carat, Colour, Clarity, and Cut? No. We do not grade the diamonds. We can only test if it is natural or lab-grown. For grading you can visit GIA or a gemologist to give a proper grading of the stone. However, we can save you some time, effort, and money by identifying which ones are worth the cost to grade in the first place.
